Responsible Breeder

The A.K.C. recommends that the "motto of the responsible breeder" is to "Breed to improve". We agree, and at the same time we take a “down to earth” approach to breeding. We focus on temperament and health above visual perfection. Of course, when it comes to your puppy beauty is important too. Please feel free ask us about our blood lines and Certified Pedigrees.

Health Screening

Yes! Each and every Sire (dad) and Dam (mom) are Heart and Eye Certified. Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are Heart and Eye Certified That means we have gone the extra mile to ensure your puppy has a long and healthy life.  Not all breeders have their dogs certified. Be sure to ask!

The terms "Sire" and "Dam" are widely used by the A.K.C to describe male and female dogs.  These terms also have deeper historical roots.  However we are a bit more relaxed at All Star Cavaliers, and you may often hear us refer to them as "dad or daddy" and "mom or mommy".  Why not, it's much more fun than calling a puppy a "whelp"

According to www.merriam-webster.com:

Sire (dad)   Dam (mom)   Whelp (puppy)

Welcome to All Star Cavaliers!

If you are new to Cavalier King Charles Spaniels you are in for a big surprise! If you have one or know someone who does, you know exactly what we are talking about. Cavaliers are simply the most lovable dogs around, and they will love you back ten fold! Often called "comforter" spaniels, they are exactly that. Nothing pleases them more than to be with you. Not in an over exuberant way often found in other breeds, but rather in a melt-your-heart sort of way. Cavaliers are remarkable in their ability to fit into a wide variety of life styles, making them suitable for young and the young at heart.  The AKC (American Kennel Club) describes their tempermant as "...friendly, non-aggressive with no tendency towards nervousness or shyness."
